Longitudinal section

 

In this step the EG profile can be specified. This can come from a variety of sources. Often from the field data, but from an existing Surface, from 3D objects, a fixed elevation or a straight line between entry and exit points is a possible source too.

If input data can be used to generate an EG profile but a different choice has been made here, a comparison profile is drawn showing the EG as would have come from the input data.

In the next step the band data can be specified.
