Templates and language files

 

The application uses an User Interface language and a presentation style. The presentation style is a combination of a DWG template for the styles, layers and symbols, and a language file that manages the output language, settings, projections and bands. The presentation style can be set in a different language than the User Interface.

A presentation style can be selected or changed via the settings.

It is possible to change, modify or delete a copy of the selected presentation style. If a supplied presentation style is changed, the original data is copied to the configuration files location. If a copy will be made, you are asked to specify a new name. A new dialog appears.

In this tab it is possible to customize output texts.

 

Settings

This tab contains input and selection fields to choose a name or style for various components. Styles and layer names are taken from the associated DWG template and can be modified in that file if necessary.

 

Projections

A projection style consists of a part of the layer name, a description, a height correction and a symbol. As soon as a projection is added to the longitudinal section at a later stage, the layer name of the selected object is examined to see if a default description, height correction or symbol can be applied for the projected object.

The plus button can be used to add a new projection style, the cross button can be used to delete the selected projection style.

When adding, a list of available layer names is displayed so that it can be seen which layer part can be searched for. The symbols can be filtered by the filter keyword to show a simple list. It is also possible to display a full list of available symbols.

Height correction should be entered with a negative value to be placed below EG level. In this way, for example, a cable or pipe can be placed at a default depth if no actual depth is known.

 

Bands

On this tab a BandSet can be composed to be placed under the longitudinal section. Bands can be added, deleted, sorted differently or exported or imported as a BandSet.

 

Template

In the configuration files location, the modified or new presentation style is saved as an XML file and a corresponding DWG template. This can be opened in Civil 3D after which symbols, layers and Civil 3D styles can be modified or added.
