Export to polyline

 

The indicated button allows the drill centerline to be exported to a polyline or Solid:

It is possible to export the drill centerline based on the coordinates of the tangent points or based on the drill rods. Depending on the choice, other input fields are available to enter the intermediate lengths.

A choice can be made to export the line as a 2D or 3D polyline or as a Solid. The object is placed on the active layer.

 

Object Data and Property Sets

The object is provided with both Object Data and Property Set Data. The values are visible in the Properties Palette and can be used with Civil 3D functionality to export the object to, for example, Esri Shape or InfraWorks or NavisWorks.

 

Clash detection

If there are multiple 3D Solids, for example Solid Sweeps along cabled and pipes or other designs, an interference check can be performed in AutoCAD where the intersection part is shown in red.
