Angles and distances

 

The different methods require certain values that are stored for each drill design.

The values entered are used to create or test the design.

 

Maximum radius

It is possible to indicate that a maximum radius should be applied. The application will try to keep the straight lines as short as possible and apply the radius to the maximum. If this option is not checked, the specified radius will be applied.

 

Calculating the radius

With the right mouse button menu on the input fields of the arcs it is possible to start the Radius Calculator.

 

Get angle from geometry

With the right mouse button menu on the input fields of the angles it is possible to get the angle from the drawing by specifying two points. This can come in handy when the middle line should roughly follow the existing ground.

 

Test value

The test value is the value that each radius must have as a minimum. The designer determines this value based on various factors such as the drill rods to be used or the material being more or less ductile. Both the horizontal and the vertical as well as the combined radius are tested on this test value.
