Radius Calculator

 

A combined radius is a radius that applies to the same spot both horizontally and vertically. This radius is a mathematical calculation based on the horizontal and vertical radius. It can be calculated using the Radius Calculator:

This can be started via a command or via the right mouse button on the input fields for the vertical arcs on the Palette.

By changing values in the lower input fields the calculated value will be shown in the upper field. It is also possible to calculate a desired horizontal or vertical radius if the other two values are known.

Based on a horizontal and vertical radius a combined radius can be calculated. This must be greater than the test value bending radius. As long as one of the radii is smaller, a warning symbol will be displayed in the dialog box.
