Project profile

 

If two longitudinal sections intersect, a Profile from one section can be projected into the other section. This is a Superimposed Profile and is part of the standard functionality of Civil 3D.

Now it is possible to visually check in the Profile View if the drills will touch each other underground. It is also possible to check in 3D view if the drills will clash. This can be done by generating Solids which can be tested for intersections with the AutoCAD functionality 'Interference Check'.
